Voetvolk is a contemporary dance and performance group, founded in Belgium in 2007 by dancer/choreographer Lisbeth Gruwez and composer/musician Maarten Van Cauwenberghe. Their work is an ongoing conversation between corporal and auditive movement: Gruwez and Van Cauwenberghe direct each other in order to achieve a symbiosis between the aural and the visual/physical.

So far, Voetvolk has made 9 performances:

- Forever Overhead (2007)

- Birth of Prey (2008)

- HeroNeroZero (2010)

- L'origine (2011)

- It's going to get worse and worse and worse, my friend (2012)

- AH/HA (2014)

- Lisbeth Gruwez dances Bob Dylan (2015)

- We're pretty fuckin' far from okay (2016)

- Penelope (2017)

The five more recent ones are still touring.

In May 2018, Voetvolk will be presenting its first large-scale production, being The Sea Within.

Frequent collaborators of the company are and have been Bart Van den Eynde, Bart Meuleman (artistic advice and dramaturgy), Harry Cole, Caroline Mathieu (light design), Marie Szersnovicz (scenography), Veronique Branquinho, Alexandra Sebbag (costumes), Joris Duytschaever (translations) and Koen Vanhove (diffusion, via Key Performance).

Voetvolk is allied to Troubleyn|Jan Fabre and the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp as 'company-in-residence'. Other residencies are and have been KVS, Les Brigittines, Arts Centre BUDA and STUK.

Voetvolk is 'artiste associé' of Le Quartz - Scène Nationale de Brest.
